6 Deadly Effect Of Over Thinking

Thinking is a gift to mankind, which has enabled him to function with ideas and concepts. Thinking helps us to reason, judge, make decisions and form our opinion. Unfortunately, with the gift of thinking, we are also burdened with the curse of over thinking; which is considered to be one of the deadliest activities of our mind. It is a process where a person persistently mulls over thoughts from past or about some event that may or may not happen in future. Over thinking leads to a condition of analysis paralysis, which hinders choice making to such an extent, that the required action is never taken. The habit of over-analyzing or over thinking not only affects a person emotionally and mentally but also physically, often leading to psychosomatic disorders. This list of 6 deadly effects of over thinking is just the tip of iceberg, as they are many other underlying problems related to this menace which are specific to individual situations.

6. A tunnel with no light in the end: Over thinking leads you into a dark tunnel which has no light in the end causing emotional pain, guilt and trauma. Often, people who over think ask themselves questions about the past like, “Why did that happen to me?” “Why did I not act differently?” or about future, “What if it happens?” and many more without looking for answers. Often they are questions with a dead end which do not require any answer. Without coming up with an answer or solution, the process can go on and on, like a vicious cycle.

5. Opportunities Lost: Over thinkers come up with situations in their mind that are either existent or non-existent; creating a scene where they are helpless to face it or not in control to manage it appropriately. They spend more time thinking desperately about the problem, which if tackled fittingly would be solved in much lesser time. The fear created by over analyzing the situation prevents them from taking action. Numerous opportunities are lost due to over thinking where as a quick response would have led to success. Unfortunately, opportunities lost add a question “Why did I not act on time?” to the over thinking mind.

4. Leads to anxiety and depression: The impending doom created in the mind of over thinker will lead to GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder), panic attacks and depression. With over analyzing and looking at a situation from every possible angle that could go wrong or went wrong already, the person ends up eyeing every person or situation as a threat. In order to overcome the anxiety, fear or depression they often end up taking refuge in unhealthy lifestyle which will lead to more worry in future. Also See The Reason Your Fridge Door Is Magnetic Is Absolutely Creepy

3. Over thinkers end up being pessimist and unhappy: Earlier it was considered that people who thoroughly think over the problems make better decisions and stay happy. Unfortunately, recent studies have found that over thinking impairs decision making ability, hinders rational thoughts, thwarts problem solving actions, leads to negativity and makes a person unhappy. Over thinkers lose their ability to look at the silver lining in the cloud, and end up as pessimists who see nothing but problems in their lives.

2. Causes Insomnia: When you are mulling over something in your mind over and over again, it is difficult to even nod off, leave alone getting relaxed or peaceful sleep. Pondering over one thing leads to another, past events are visualized, the pain suffered in the past is re-experienced and future similar happenings are re-enacted in the mind as a person lays there on the bed. With no one to interpret their thoughts, the drama continues till wee hours in the morning, when sheer tiredness overtakes to bring on sleep. The pattern continues night after night leading to physical and mental disorders associated with chronic insomnia.

1. Complicates life: Children do not have many complications in their lives, because they have not yet developed ability to over think. Over thinking converts every mole hill into a mountain, which you can never climb. A child will happily skip over the mole hill to move ahead. Over thinking not only complicates life, it steals life itself at times. Thinking can never replace action; hence, no matter how much you worry or think over something, nothing is going to change. As a person is wasting away time thinking things over and over again, life is slowly slipping away.

Police Arrest 53 Pro-Biafra Agitators Marching For Trump In Rivers

Police Arrest 53 Of 1000 Pro-Biafra Agitators Marching For Trump In Rivers

The Rivers state police command says it has arrested 53 Biafra secessionists that were part of the around 1000 that staged a protest march for new American president Donald Trump as he was inaugurated on Friday, January 20.

Reuters reports that the protesters who were unarmed took to the streets of Port Harcourt, Rivers state’s capital city, shouting ‘Biafra for Trump’ in the belief that the emergence of the new US president would curtail perceived growing influence of Muslim north in Nigeria.

One of the protest leaders and the deputy national coordinator for the Indigenous People of Biafra George gave an insight to the reason for march, saying: “Unlike Obama, Trump is sensitive to people like us … he being also leader of the greatest free Christian country.

“We believe in his policies and agenda against terrorism, unbridled killings of defenceless people, subjugation and suppression of people across the world by despots.

“Trump is sane and sensitive to people like us … will listen to our cries and put in a word for us where it matters.”

But the police says it is arresting the protesters for staging the protest. Already 53, it says, have been arrested.

“Arrests have been made – about 53 persons and counting,” said Nnamdi Omoni, police spokesman for Rivers state, where the rally took place.

“They have been in processions, singing and dancing along the roads and we are doing our best to contain them because we do not want the situation to degenerate or snowball into something else,” said Nnamdi Omoni, police spokesman for Rivers state.

Meanwhile, Omoni also denied reports that the police killed about 11 of the pro-Biafra agitators as claimed by IPOB spokesperson Emma Powerful in a statement.

According to Omoni, the police did not open fire on protesters as alleged and nobody died.

An elderly lady fell by the road and hit her head in Kensington, near David Beckham family’s west London mansion, just as the evening rush hour began. A passing fire engine was flagged down while an ambulance was called – only for the former football star to join the crowd and offer the woman a bottle of water. He even parked his car by a traffic island to block moving cars from getting too close to the lady. Sally Biddall, who watched the drama unfold, tweeted: ‘Was helping an old lady who fell over on my lunch break and guess who drives up to help? David Beckham. That’s who. What a gentleman.’ A spokesman for the London Fire Brigade said: ‘At around 16.45 a fire engine was flagged down to an elderly woman who had tripped when crossing the road and fell and hit her head. ‘David Beckham was parked nearby and had already given her a bottle of water. He assisted and when the ambulance arrived was thanked and told he could move on.’

List Of Best Strikers In The Premier league So Far This Season

At the midway point of the Premier League season it is not only the league table that has an unusual look about it. The top scorers’ chart after 19 games sees Everton’s Romelu Lukaku and Jamie Vardy of Leicester leading the way on 15 goals each, closely pursued by Odion Ighalo of Watford. Of the strikers who finished in the top five behind last season’s top scorer, Sergio Agüero, only Tottenham’s Harry Kane features in the current quintet after the decline of Chelsea’s Diego Costa, among others, and the emergence of several new faces. Here is ranking of the 10 best striker in the league this season, based on stats provided by Opta.  1 Romelu Lukaku, Everton The £28m Everton paid to sign the Belgium international from Chelsea raised a few eyebrows on Merseyside at the time but it now looks a very shrewd investment. As well as being joint-top scorer with 15 goals Lukaku has laid on four assists and created a total of 27 chances for his team-mates, forming a burgeoning partnership with Gerard Deulofeu. His mobility and first touch have both improved hugely since arriving at Goodison Park, while the natural finishing ability that saw him end as top scorer in the Belgium league aged 17 has been sharpened to devastating effect. Ed Aarons Goals 15 Minutes per goal 111.6 Shot conversion rate 29.4% Assists 4

2 Jamie Vardy, Leicester His spectacular run of scoring in 11 successive Premier League matches will live long in the memory for all Leicester fans but it still may not be enough for Vardy’s hopes of establishing himself as a regular for England. Roy Hodgson has so far proved reluctant to trust the league’s joint-top scorer with a central role and his miss against Manchester City on Tuesday will not have helped his cause. Yet for a player who has worked his way up from Stocksbridge Park Steels in the Northern Premier League to the very highest level, there is no reason to suggest he cannot continue to confound expectations. EA Goals 15 Minutes per goal 110.9 Shot conversion rate 28.8% Assists 3

3 Odion Ighalo, Watford At the back end of last season Ighalo was not even a guaranteed starter for Watford in the Championship, which makes his blistering start to life in the Premier League all the more remarkable. Nobody has managed more shots than Ighalo this season but a big reason for his success and 14 goals has been his partnership with Troy Deeney in an era when strike duos are thoroughly unfashionable. Deeney, previously very much a centre-forward, has adapted to almost a supporting role, providing the bullets for Ighalo to fire Watford to their current lofty position. Nick Miller Goals 14 Minutes per goal 113.6 Shot conversion rate 25.9% Assists 2

4 Harry Kane, Tottenham After his spectacular breakout season some may have doubted whether Kane could follow that up. After a slow start in which he failed to score until the end of September, the 22-year-old has emphatically answered the sceptics with 11 goals in his last 13 Premier League games and has once more been the focal point of a resurgent Tottenham side who go into 2016 fourth in the table. Three more goals in the Euro 2016 qualifiers have also put Kane at the front of the queue to lead the line for England in the summer, especially in light of Wayne Rooney’s recent travails. EA Goals 11 Minutes per goal 151.6 Shot conversion rate 22% Assists 1

5 Olivier Giroud, Arsenal Questions about whether Giroud is quite good enough for a title-challenging team will probably dog him for the rest of his career but presumably they will not bother him at the moment. has 10 league goals in 13 starts to help the Gunners to the top of the table, with another five in the Champions League, two coming against Bayern Munich. What is perhaps even more impressive is that he has improved his all-round play too, his movement and link-ups with Mesut Özil a key reason for Arsenal’s position as title favourites. If he carries on like this, maybe they will finally deliver on their promise. NM Goals 10 Minutes per goal 122.8 Shot conversion rate 23.3% Assists 1

6 Troy Deeney, Watford The scorer of more than 20 goals in each of the last three seasons in the Championship, Deeney took 10 games to get off the mark in the Premier League but he showed there is plenty more to his game as creator-in-chief for his strike partner, Odion Ighalo. Five assists and six goals since breaking his duck against Stoke in October place the 27-year-old fifth in the total goal involvement charts, while he has also laid on 27 chances for his team-mates – the second highest. Watford have turned down several £10m plus offers for Deeney in the last two transfer windows and no doubt there will be plenty of suitors circling again. EA Goals 6 Minutes per goal 283.6 Shot conversion rate 21.4% Assists 5

7 Marko Arnautovic, Stoke There have been few more head-turning, eyebrow-raising developments in the Premier League in recent years than Stoke adopting a fluid and exciting front three and, alongside Bojan Krkic and Xherdan Shaqiri, Arnautovic has more than played his part in their success. The Austrian has been a driving, creative presence from a wide-left position, with six of the seven goals he has scored this season coming against Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Everton. Having frustrated since his arrival from Werder Bremen in 2013, Arnautovic is now well and truly Stoke’s man for the biggest occasions. Sachin Nakrani Goals 7 Minutes per goal 209.4 Shot conversion rate 23.3% Assists 3

8 Callum Wilson, Bournemouth Had it not been for the knee injury he suffered in September against Stoke, Wilson would probably have been a strong contender for a place in the England squad at Euro 2016 such was his impact in the early weeks of the season. Five goals in just seven starts means the former Coventry striker remains the most prolific marksman in the Premier League in terms of minutes per goal, while his shot conversion rate of 62.5% is freakishly high when compared with the rest. The 23-year-old is hoping to play again before the end of the season although it remains to be seen what effect the injury has had on his blistering pace. EA Goals 5 Minutes per goal 108.6 Shot conversion rate 62.5% Assists 0

9 Sergio Agüero, Manchester City The consensus is that Manchester City’s relative struggles this season have been down to Vincent Kompany’s injury woes but Agüero’s campaign has been equally disrupted. Irritating ailments have limited him to just eight Premier League starts so far, but he has still managed seven goals, five of which came against Newcastle in October. Perhaps the biggest impact of his injuries has not been the games he has missed (City have actually won more games without him than with him) but that he subsequently has looked a little off the pace when he has played. Keeping him fit and sharp will be crucial for City’s title chances. NM Goals 7 Minutes per goal 115 Shot conversion rate 21.9% Assists 1

10 Christian Benteke, Liverpool It says much about Benteke’s finishing capabilities that in a season where he has struggled to fit in at a new club and been hampered by injury, the Belgian has still scored six times in 16 appearances. Three of those have also been winners and one can only wonder how effective the 25-year-old could be for Liverpool were their manager, Jürgen Klopp, able to find a way of properly utilising the player in his side. That may well come in the new year, as could Benteke finally scoring when given a clear run on goal. SN Goals 6 Minutes per goal 175 Shot conversion rate 16.2% Assists 1

Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Is Not Ready For CAF Competition-says Nff

The Director of Competitions, Nigeria Football Federation, Mr. Bola Oyeyode, says the current state of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium is below standard for Africa Football Confederation competitions.

Oyeyode, who made the assertion on Thursday in Enugu while speaking with newsmen, said the deplorable condition of facilities at the stadium was nothing to write home about.

“With the current condition of the stadium, I doubt if CAF will consider the stadium as a venue for its matches,’’ he said.

He urged the Enugu State Government to commence an upgrade of the facilities to ensure the stadium would be approved when CAF delegates come for inspection.

“The structure needs to wear a new look, the rooms are untidy for human use and equally lots of plumbing work need to be done,’’ he said.

Oyeyode said that there were some facilities that needed to be provided, especially for the match officials.

“The stadium needs Wifi network coverage for international observers and the media for proper coverage of matches.

“At the moment, the stadium stands at 40 percent for CAF approval because we cannot scarifies people’s health, service and comfort on the altar of mediocrity,’’ he said.

He said the pitch was an artificial one and was still good but needed maintenance, adding that the dressing rooms, the toilets and the stadium seats needed to be cleaned.

Oyeyode advised that wood pitch panels be removed from the stadium as they could cause fire.
He said that government needed to come out and put the stadium in order as Rangers would be participating in the CAF Championships League.

Man City Complete Signing Of Gabriel Jesus

Manchester City have completed the signing of Gabriel Jesus from Palmeiras.

The 19-year-old forward is eligible to make his debut against Tottenham on Saturday.

City originally agreed the £27m deal for Jesus in August but the player remained at Palmeiras for the remainder of the Brazilian league season, helping them claim the title in November with a game to spare.

“I want to win titles and Manchester City is a club that is used to winning,” Jesus told the club’s official website.

“City is a club that always competes for the title in the competitions it enters, so that was an important factor, and because of the manager, [Pep] Guardiola, and the squad.”

The club’s director of football, Txiki Begiristain, believes Jesus can fulfil his potential with City.

“He has the potential to become one of the best attacking players in the game and we look forward to watching him develop further here in Manchester.

“I think with Pep Guardiola as manager and the squad we already have here, Jesus has the perfect platform to reach his full potential.”

Pep Guardiola Set To Sign A 13yrs Old Starlet For A Record Fee Of £175k

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has given the all-clear for the signing of Southend United youngster Finley Burns in a record-breaking deal.

Burns has become the most expensive 13-year-old footballer ever as City have splashed out £175,000 to sign him.

Although some will argue that it’s far too early in his career to be moving to such a big club when he should have continued his development at Southend, Guardiola and City are evidently wasting no time in taking the top young players in the country to the club.

As per the report, the deal was announced last week with discussions continuing since the end of last year, and Burns could end up costing £250,000 if he goes on to sign a professional contract with the Premier League giants.

Nevertheless, it’s a huge amount of pressure on the youngster’s shoulders and he’ll have to cope with that as he now moves up the ladder.

Given City’s commitment to developing young players though with their state-of-the-art football academy facility and recruitment drive to sign the top starlets, it will only help him improve and develop his all-round game moving forward.

With Guardiola’s history of promoting youth too, it appears as though it’s a sensible move for the most part, as City are excelling at various youth levels.

However, not only will they look to become a force through the youth levels, but they’ll also be focused on ensuring that many of these youngsters make it through to the senior squad.

Chelsea £14M Defender Suffers Knee Injury While On international Duty

Chelsea defender Baba Rahmann, who is currently on loan at Bundesliga outfit Schalke, has suffered a potentially season-ending knee injury.

Baba signed for Chelsea in the summer of 2015, for what the Express report to be an initial £14 million fee. Though he failed to break into the starting eleven at Stamford Bridge, he still managed to make 23 appearances in his debut season, including 15 in the Premier League.

Antonio Conte was unable to guarantee him regular first-team football, however, and he subsequently joined Schalke on loan. The 22-year-old has been impressing in Germany, but his good form appears to have been derailed by a horror knee injury.

While on international duty with Ghana in the African Cup of Nations, Baba left the field on a stretcher. The Express cite a statement released by the Ghanaian football association, which reads: “a rupture of the meniscus and a particular tear of the anterior cruciate ligament with fluid collection in the left knee.”

It’s a bitter blow for the youngster, hopefully he’ll be back on the field of play before long.
