Real Madrid equals Barca Unbeaten Record

Cristiano Ronaldo Dazzles As Real Equals Barca’s Unbeaten Record

Real Madrid have equalled Barcelona’s 39-game unbeaten record with their 5-0 victory over Malaga at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Zinedine Zidane’s men started their second part of the La Liga campaign with a massive win over Malaga at home. Real equalled their rivals, Barcelona’s record of the first La Liga side to remain unbeaten in all competitions in 39 games.

Ronaldo adds another Ballon d’Or to the collection at the BernabeuThe Catalan giants set the impressive record in 2016 as they went on an unbeaten record under boss Luis Enrique.

Cristiano Posed with his Ballon d’or trophy in front of the Bernabeu fans before kick-off and also scored in the first 45 minutes of the game.

The victory now opens a six-point gap between Real and their rivals Barcelona who could also close the gap against Villareal on Sunday.

£20M Winger reject liverpool's offer,See why!!

Jese Rodriguez is set to reject interest from Liverpool and take a considerable pay-cut to force a move to La Liga side Las Palmas, report the Metro.

The Spaniard broke into the first-team squad at Real Madrid and was widely regarded as one of the club’s most talented youngsters. However, he found his route into the starting eleven blocked by the plethora of attacking talent Los Blancos have at their disposal and subsequently left to join PSG, for what the Telegraph believe to be a £20 million fee.

It has been the similar story in the French capital, and Jese could be on the move once more. According to the Metro, Jurgen Klopp is keen to bring him to Anfield this month. However, the tabloid cite Spanish outlet La Provincia in reporting that Jese will reject their interest and instead try to force a move to Las Palmas.

It is reported that he is prepared to take a major pay-cut to join the side that currently sit in tenth place in La Liga. Klopp will have to look elsewhere for attacking reinforcements.

Real madrid want Totteham Midfielder,No Matter The Price

Real Madrid are planning an astonishing move for young Spurs and England midfielder Dele Alli, according to the Daily Mirror.

The reigning PFA Young Player of the Year, Alli has continued developing into one of the Premier League’s outstanding players this term.

The Spanish giants, who have had great success in buying Gareth Bale and Luka Modric in recent years from Spurs, are keeping a close eye on this latest talent.

With their transfer ban covering January but not the summer, Tottenham have a few months to try and take control of the situation.

Alli signed a new deal in September, worth £60,000 a week, but even that is looking insufficient in hindsight. The club may have to consider offering their star a new deal in the not too distant future if they want to ward off the advances of top teams like Madrid.

The Mirror also claim PSG are monitoring Alli, who has just scored two goals in two consecutive games.

Bayern Munich Star Offered A world Record £673K A Week To Move To Chinese Club

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has been offered more than £35 million-a-year to join the Chinese Super League, according to The Sun.

Lewandowski is widely regarded as one of the most complete, and most prolific, strikers in world football. He has played 324 times since 2011 for club and country, finding the back of the net on a ridiculous 214 occasions. The consistency in his goal scoring and the quality of the goals he has scored leave him in a bracket of his own in the Bundesliga.

It comes as no surprise that he is reportedly the latest big-name to be targeted by the astronomical wealth in the Chinese Super League.

The Sun quote Lewandowski’s agent, who reveals that he was offered a world-record salary to move to the far east: “The name of the club was not mentioned, but if ‘Lewi’ had decided to go to China his salary would have been significantly more than £35m, which means to say he would earn more than Carlos Tevez.”

A £35 million-a-year salary works out at as much as £673,000-a-week, which is utterly preposterous – even for a player of Lewandowski’s quality.

It looks as though the Polish international has no interest in leaving Bayern, where he is well on his way to winning his fifth Bundesliga title in seven years.

Transfer News:Antonio conte Target,Reject £21m Offer To Move To chelsea

Wolfsburg left-back Ricardo Rodriguez has rejected a potential £21 million move to Premier League leaders Chelsea, report the Daily Star.

Prior to their 2-0 defeat at the hands of Tottenham on Wednesday, Chelsea had conceded just four goals in their previous 13 Premier League games. During that period, Antonio Conte’s men kept ten clean-sheets.

There may appear to be no drastic need of defensive reinforcements at Stamford Bridge, but if Marcos Alonso sustains an injury or suspension throughout this campaign, Chelsea will have nobody to deputise for him.

As per the Daily Star, Chelsea were interested in signing Rodriguez to challenge Alonso for the starting spot at left-wing-back. The tabloid note that Conte was confident of completing a £21 million deal for the Swiss international.

However, they now cite The Sun in claiming that Rodriguez has rejected a move to West London, despite Chelsea being five points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

Conte will have to look elsewhere in his bid to reinforce his defence.

Eagles Coach,Rohr Reacts To Mikel Obi's Move To Chinese club

Super Eagles Coach, Rohr Reacts To Mikel Obi’s Move To China

Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has said he does not have any problem with John Obi Mikel moving to China.

The captain of Nigeria’s national team, has signed a three-year deal with Tianjin TEDA, after leaving Chelsea on a free transfer.

Rohr also advised other Nigerian players to move during the January transfer window.

“Some are not playing in their clubs and now is the month, very important January when they can change clubs to play and have competition,” he told Channels TV on Friday.

“It is very important that Super Eagles players have competition in their clubs.

“He (Mikel) did not play much in the last month. He played in the Olympics, don’t forget it – he played all the games. He also played all the games for Super Eagles but (only) did not play in Chelsea.

“So I am happy that he can play now in China. It is always better to play in China than to stay in Chelsea and not play.

“He is now nearing the end of his career and it is normal that he is looking for a good contract,” the coach said.

Arsenal In search Of Arsene wenger Successor,As ideal Candidate Rule Himself Out

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri was linked with the Arsenal job last month, but he has insisted he sees his long-term future in Turin.

As per The Sun last month, it was claimed that the 49-year-old was being lined up as the next Gunners boss as he had made it known that he wanted to replace Arsene Wenger at the Emirates.

Given the stature of the club, the quality of the squad and the opportunity to manage in England, it was hardly surprising that the Italian tactician was linked with a move to north London.

However, in his press conference on Saturday, he insisted that his future was with Juve and that he envisages himself in the Bianconeri hotseat for many more years.

Allegri’s track record speaks for itself, as he enjoyed stellar spells with Sassuolo and Cagliari before winning a Serie A title with AC Milan in 2011.

He has since followed that up with two more Scudetti with Juve while also collecting other domestic silverware along with a run to the Champions League final in 2015.

While his qualities as a coach aren’t in doubt, it looks as though a possible future at Arsenal now is as he clearly wishes to stay with the Serie A giants.

Nevertheless, things can change very quickly in football and with the Turin outfit under immense pressure to not only win another league title this season but also to make an impression in Europe, if he fails to deliver on those objectives then the situation could change.

With Wenger’s contract expiring at the end of the season and with no suggestion as of yet that he will pen an extension, Arsenal will be on the market for a new manager but it appears as though Allegri can be crossed off the list of possible candidates.

[Photo]Colombia Plane Crash:Player Who Survived Tragedy Meets With New Teammates

Football club Chapecoense was all but wiped out in a devastating plane crash in Colombia last year. But the Brazilian side has fresh hope for the future as they presented 27 new players signed to replace those tragically killed . Almost all of the team’s senior players were lost on doomed LaMia flight 2933, which came down on November 28.

The southern Brazilian club were en route to Medellin to face Atletico Nacional in the final of the Copa Sudamericana when the jet hit a mountain, killing 71 people.

Centre back Helio Neto and fullback Alan Ruschel survived, as did reserve goalkeeper Jackson Follmann, who had part of his leg amputated

The club has signed 27 new players for the new season while reserving shirt numbers for two of the survivors in the hope they can play again.

Director of football Rui Costa said all three survivors still had a role to play at the club.

Neto attended the presentation on crutches, where he chatted to the youth players who have been called up to the first time in the wake of the tragedy.

The players will start their season on January 26 with a home game against Joinville.

Rooney Returns As Mourinho Makes Several changes

Manchester United will hope to advance to the next round of the FA Cup this weekend but Reading arrive at Old Trafford with other plans.

Much of the build-up to the game has surrounded Jaap Stam’s return to his former club, with the Dutchman enjoying a successful spell in Manchester which was slightly tainted by his departure.

Nevertheless, he’ll be solely focused on getting a win for his current employers on Saturday, but his Reading side will face a strong United starting XI.

Jose Mourinho will undoubtedly hope for a solid cup run as the Red Devils look to stay in the hunt for silverware this season and he’ll be confident that the side he has put out will deliver.

Sergio Romero replaces David De Gea in between the posts, while Ashley Young starts at right-back with Marouane Fellaini in midfield.

Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford will get opportunities to impress from the start, while the big selection is that of Wayne Rooney who returns from a thigh injury.

The 31-year-old is just one goal adrift of equalling Sir Bobby Charlton’s club goalscoring record, and after an agonising wait on the sidelines, Rooney finally gets another chance to move level on 249 goals.

As for the visitors, it’s a strong side put out by Stam too as although they are chasing promotion this season, and doing very well too as they sit third in the Championship table after 24 games, they will be keen on producing a major upset at Old Trafford.

I Regret Loaning Jack wilshere-Says Arsene Wenger

Arsene Wenger says he regrets allowing Jack Wilshere to leave Arsenal on loan because he is left with few options in midfield.

Wilshere left the Gunners for a season-long move to Bournemouth in a bid to prove his fitness and earn a new contract at the Emirates Stadium.

The England international has enjoyed a run of games on the south coast, something he had failed to do in three years at Arsenal as he was plagued by injuries.

There is no option for Arsenal to recall the 25-year-old despite injuries ruling out Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla, while Mohamed Elneny is away on international duty with Egypt.

Asked if he regretted allowing Wilshere to leave, Wenger said: “Yes, I could use him now.

“But if he had not played until now, he would not be ready to play now. What looks unfair at some moments in the season is that you know at some stage you could need the player.

“But even at the start you need to have the right balance between competition and numbers and chances for the player to play. And still today I think it was the right decision for him to go.”

Guardiola Looking To loan Bayern Munich Defender In Bid To Solve City's Headache

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is reportedly set to try and snap up Bayern Munich defender Holger Badstuber on a six-month loan deal in the January transfer window.

Out of the top six sides in the Premier League, City currently have the second-worst defensive record having conceded 22 goals in 20 games.

For a side chasing the title, that simply isn’t good enough, and Guardiola has certainly had his issues so far this season with the likes of John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi not always convincing.

According to The Sun, he might be about to fix that problem with a temporary swoop for Badstuber whom he knows well having worked with the 27-year-old during his time in Bavaria.

The German international has just six months remaining on his current deal and so it may well be an audition in many ways to earn a longer contract, but he will have to show that he has overcome his injury woes after spending a significant amount of time out of action.

Badstuber missed the entire 2013/14 campaign after suffering a serious knee injury, and made just 10 Bundesliga appearances the following season and just seven last year.

Nevertheless, given his versatility, strength in the air and ability to build from the back, he arguably ticks every box required by Guardiola, and the Spanish tactician will be hoping that he can bring him in to aid his side’s push for silverware this season.

Badstuber has made three appearances so far this season, completing 90 minutes against Rostov FC in the Champions League. However, it was a game that the German giants lost 3-2, with some clear signs of rust from the defender and so there will be an element of risk involved in this deal if Guardiola chooses to take him to Manchester.

3 Footballers Who were Rich Before Football made them Richer,Including Barca Star

Footballers are often criticised for the amount of money they make, but they were in the section of the society with the lowest income once upon a time. Back in the day footballers had a cap of £20 per week in terms of wages. Clubs had the ultimate authority and players were often regarded as servants to the clubs. A contract with the club gave them ultimate power.

How’s the situation now?

In recent years, though, this has changed dramatically with the balance of power shifting in favour of the players. The growth of football as a popular sport has been a major factor.

Now, football is one of the most popular sports in the world and this results in the players joining the society’s elite in terms of pay. Almost every footballer, especially in the top divisions, makes money in the millions each year, and they have an extremely comfortable life. Yet, are footballers always rich? No. Most of them come from an extremely poor background with tough upbringing. This is especially true for players from the underdeveloped or developing countries.

Yet, there have been examples of footballers coming from a wealthy background as well. Here are three players who did not have to work hard in order to earn a living due to their wealthy parents:

1. Gerard Pique – The Barcelona defender makes around £6.5 million each year, but he had an extremely comfortable life as a youngster. His father is a lawyer in Spain, while his mother is a director at one of the top spine surgery hospitals in Europe. Pique may have been criticised for having an air of party about him, but he has truly delivered on the pitch, as was predicted by oddsdigger.com, by winning Champions League and World Cup medals.

2. Frank Lampard – At the peak of his career, the Chelsea legend was making around £6.5 million per year. In today’s money, it would be around £10 million per season. Son of Frank Lampard senior, who used to play for West Ham and had a relatively successful career, Lampard Jr did not have to yearn for a loaf of bread. He was even criticised for a lack of talent, but incredible hard work saw him become a Chelsea legend.

3. Yoann Gourcuff – A hugely talented midfielder, the former Lyon and AC Milan midfielder was making around €7 million per season in 2012. Even though his wages have reduced substantially due to niggling injury problems and the move to Rennes, Gourcuff has still made a lot of money. Yet, he was never really under pressure to make money as a result of being Christian Gourcuff’s son. After almost 2 decades as a player, Christian Gourcuff is a well-known figure in the game and has managed the likes of Lorient, Algeria, and Rennes.

Football history is stunning

Football became a professional sport in 1885 in order to prevent teams from making illegal payments to players in order to prevent them from joining a competitor. Back then, only £3 per week was offered as the wage for a footballer. It was certainly not a time when footballers were rich.

…But today’s reality is simply fantastic

Now, Carlos Tevez has become the world’s best paid player when he joined Shanghai Shenhua. The numbers surrounding the 32-year-old’s wages are just mind-boggling. He will be earning £650,000 per week – twice that of four time FIFA Ballon d’Or award winner Cristiano Ronaldo and five-time of Ballon d’Or award winner Lionel Messi. It also translates into a figure of just over £30 million each season or a ridiculous £1 each second.

As more and more nations and leagues from across the world try to get popular, they will be attracting such players by massive wages. The trend of footballers becoming rich may just become the trend of footballers becoming super-rich.

Ronaldo is estimated to have a net worth of more than £200 million. His wealth has been accumulated as a result of an incredible contract with Real Madrid, as well as from the numerous image rights deals he has with his sponsors. He also has managed to take advantage of his incredible popularity and l

NFF'S MESSAGE TO MIKEL OBI FOLLOWING HIS MOVE TO CHINESE CLUB

John Mikel Obi has made a move to Chinese Super League after his transfer to Tianjin TEDA was confirmed on social media. A picture was shared on Chinese website Webo of former Chelsea midfielder Mikel shaking hands with a Tianjin club official and holding the club’s shirt.

The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has joined a host of Nigerians and football lovers around the world to congratulate the midfielder.

ARSENE WENGER FINALLY BREAKS SILENCE OVER SANCHEZ'S UNSUAL BEHAVIOUR

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed Alexis Sanchez’s fury at the end of their 3-3 draw with Bournemouth was due to the result.

The Chilean star was visibly angered after the game against Cherries as he threw his gloves down in despair and stormed the dressing room where it was reported that he did not speak with his teammates.

However, the Gunners boss has come out to calm reports that Sanchez is not happy at the club and might leave as he continues to stall on renewing a new contract at the Emirates.

The French boss said: ‘They care as much as he does, don’t worry, everybody has his way. The players were frustrated. There was no celebration in the dressing room; everybody was disappointed that they didn’t win the game.

‘There is no hierarchy of intensity or desire to win at that level. Everybody wants to win.’

French striker Olivier Giroud was criticised for showing off his pre rehearsed celebration depicting his scorpion kick when he scored a last minute equaliser for the Gunners, instead of returning for kick off and try find a winner.

CHELSEA LOANEE SAYS TOTTENHAM ACE IS INSPIRING HIM AS HE BIDES TIME TO IMPRESS CONTE

Chelsea loanee reveals Tottenham ace is inspiring him as he bides time to impress Conte

Posted by Ron Carne January 6, 2017

Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham has revealed that he takes motivation from the likes of Dele Alli and Marcus Rashford to maintain his belief he will have a similar impact at the top level.

The 19-year-old is currently out on loan at Bristol City, and it has undoubtedly been a productive spell for him as he has bagged 14 goals in 25 Championship games.

Combined with his EFL Cup tally, he has 17 in 29 in all competitions, as he continues to make an impression and suggest that he has a bright future.

Whether it’s enough to grab the attention of Antonio Conte and force the Italian tactician to give him a chance next season remains to be seen, as it will be crucial for him sustain his good form and prove that it isn’t just a short-term goal glut.

However, Abraham is remaining positive and has picked out Alli and Rashford in particular as players to look up to as they continue to shine for Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United respectively.

“It motivates me a lot really ,To see what they’re doing makes me want to do the same.

“It makes you think that if other people can do it then maybe you can do the same. Everyone has their time and hopefully mine will come soon.”

With Diego Costa establishing himself as the first-choice striker at Stamford Bridge this season, it has led to frustration for summer signing Michy Batshuayi due to a lack of opportunities.

Given Abraham would probably be below him in the pecking order were he still at Chelsea, he’ll be keen to see out the season with Bristol City and then consider his options in the summer.

Rather than sit on the bench for Chelsea, he’ll surely want to play every week, but ultimately the goal will be to force his way into Conte’s plans and avoid being lost in the loan system circus at the club.

CHELSEA STAR COULD BE LOANED AS CONTE EYES MOVE FOR SWANSEA CITY STRIKER

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is reportedly keen on signing Swansea City striker Fernando Llorente, which could be bad news for Michy Batshuayi.

The Belgian international has struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge so far this season as he has barely featured in the Premier League.

With three goals in 15 games, he’s hardly had the chance to do much more, and the 23-year-old, who cost the Premier League leaders £33m last summer, could be set for an exit this month on a temporary basis.

That’s because Conte is hopeful of signing Llorente, a player he knows well given that they worked together during the former’s spell in charge at Juventus.

It’s claimed in the report that Chelsea are keen to sign him either on loan or on a permanent basis, but given his importance to Swansea’s bid for survival, they expect it to be difficult to prise him away from the Liberty Stadium.

New manager Paul Clement will likely assess what he has at his disposal before making decisions in the transfer market, and it’s highly unlikely that he’ll want to lose one of his senior strikers when goals are desperately needed.

Nevertheless, Chelsea will monitor the situation in the event that the Swans sign another striker, as Conte looks to add depth to his squad and bring in adequate cover should Diego Costa suffer an injury or get suspended.

The biggest snub of Batshuayi’s short Chelsea career thus far came on Boxing Day as even though Costa was banned for the game against Bournemouth, Conte opted to start Eden Hazard in a false nine role instead.

While the Blues boss has insisted that Batshuayi has a future at Stamford Bridge, a move for Llorente doesn’t particularly back that claim up very well.

FOUR LIVERPOOL STAR PLAYERS WOULD BE OUT AGAINST PLYMOUTH -LIVERPOOL BOSS JURGEN KLOPP

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has provided fitness updates on several key players ahead of his side’s encounter with Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup this weekend.

The German tactician was left frustrated earlier this week after the Reds were held to a draw at Sunderland, but with a few days to recover and prepare for the weekend, he was in better spirits at his press conference on Friday.

However, he will have some decisions to make as he will be without Daniel Sturridge, Joel Matip and James Milner, as all three have picked up knocks and are unlikely to be risked against Plymouth.

Further, he provided an update on Philippe Coutinho who has been a long-term absentee after suffering a serious ankle injury last year.

On Sturridge: “Probably today we’ll see. It depends how he feels. Southampton should be possible. (Philippe) Coutinho is in a very good way but not for this weekend.

On Matip: “Same.”

On Milner: “Better. Milly has his little issue with his calf, we were not sure because of the intensity if it was more. I’m pretty sure we won’t take the risk this weekend.”

In contrast, Klopp did suggest that Joe Gomez could be involved as he ruled out the possibility of the youngster leaving on loan for the rest of the season.

Meanwhile, there could also be a comeback for goalkeeper Loris Karius who lost his place to Simon Mignolet recently after coming under fire for some high-profile blunders.

Having regrouped and got his confidence back, Klopp will not want to keep him out for too long and so this seems like an ideal time to reintroduce his summer signing to the starting line-up.

The fixture list won’t particularly lighten for Klopp and his players in the next week or so, as they’ll be back in action on January 11 for the first leg of their EFL Cup clash with Southampton, before they take on Manchester United next weekend in the Premier League.

READ MIKEL OBI'S LETTER TO HIS CHELSEA FAMILY AS HE JOINS CHINESE CLUB

John Obi Mikel has spoken for the first time, about his move to Tianjin TEDA.The 29-year-old is set to seal a free transfer from Chelsea to the Chinese Super League club after 10 years and 374 appearances for the Blues. In an open letter posted on his Twitter page, he wrote:“To my Chelsea family,“After ten years, 374 appearances and eleven trophies, it is time to say goodbye.“Where do I begin? I joined Chelsea as a 19-year-old kid from the Norwegian Premier League, making my debut in the Community Shield. I say goodbye as a champion of England, a champion of Europe, and proud captain of my national team.“To play in the Premier League, the best league in the world, is every professional player’s ambition. But to play for Chelsea, to become part of the Chelsea family, to work with some of the best managers and players in the world, has truly been an honour.“Every achievement I have been part of in my time at Chelsea holds a special memory: my first goal, against Macclesfield in 2007 (even though there were only five more after that!). The nail-biting end of the 2010 season – securing the title on the last day, scoring arecord 103 goals in the process, and winning the FA Cup a week later. Didier’s extra time winner against Manchester United in the 2007 FA Cup Final. Beating two of our biggest London rivals in League Cup finals. Winning the Europa League in Amsterdam, with one of the lastkicks of the game.“Then there was Munich. We were desperate to make up for the disappointment of the 2008 final, but trailing with two minutes to go, against Bayern, in their own stadium, it seemed that once more luck was against us. But that night, with lions on our chest and the fans behind us, we fought. Up popped Didier, the rest is history, and to date we’restill proudly the only team in London with a European Cup.“None of this would have been possible without the wider club’s support. To Mr Abramovich, the club’s staff, coaches, physios, and to the managers I played under at Chelsea, I want to say thank you.“But my biggest thanks must go to the Blues fans. You brought me into the Chelsea family, you sung my name, and were there with us every step of the way. Thanks to your support, on nights like in Munich, you made the impossible possible.“As you will know, I haven’t featured as much this season as I would have liked, and at 29 I still have many years in the game ahead of me. With this in mind, I feelnow is the time to seek a new challenge. I’m delighted to be joining Tianjin TEDA in China, at a time that the Chinese Super League is really taking off, and I look forward to helping Tianjin TEDA continue to grow both on and off the pitch in the next few years.“To everyone at Chelea – goodbye, and thank you. You will always be part of who Iam, and I wish you the best of luck. I couldnot be happier to be saying goodbye with the club back where it belongs – top of the league.“Keep the Blue flag flying high!“Mikel John Obi.”
